Hack Arizona
Alex has won awards at each hackathon he has participated in, including: Best Healthcare Hack (3x), Best Iterative Development Hack, and Best Beginner Hack.
Alex has also mentored and presented to students in later Hack Arizona events in lieu of competing.

Apple WWDC Scholarship: WWDC Scholarships reward talented students and STEM organization members with the opportunity to attend Apple’s yearly developer conference. Selected as one of 350 recipients from thousands of worldwide applicants.
AP Scholar with Honors: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
IdeaFunding Rocket Pitch Competition 2013 Finalist: IdeaFunding is an annual event that provides entrepreneurs in southern Arizona with the opportunity to present their business ideas to experienced startup investors, and get positive feedback on what they can do to improve their chances for investment and startup success. Startup founders are invited to deliver three-minute ‘rocket pitches’ to a panel of judges for cash prizes and the chance to present later in the day to seasoned, qualified investors.
